Heavy Debris: Pick by Weight, Not Volume
Concrete, brick, dirt, tile, and roofing shingles are heavy for their size, so they go in a 10 or 20-yard load so the load stays close to the included weight instead of running up overage.
Rough weights: roofing shingles run 350 to 450 lbs per square for architectural shingles; a 4-inch concrete slab is about 50 lbs per square foot.
How Much Space Each Size Needs
The container footprint is the length and width above. The truck also needs a straight approach roughly twice the container's length and overhead clearance for the container to tilt off. A 10- or 20-yard container fits most single driveways.
